Welcome back, Gerry!"
Program from Meehan's first game as a Washington Capital, January 24, 1976, against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Two days earlier, he and Jean Lemieux had been traded from the Atlanta Flames to the Capitals for Bill Clement. As you can see, the original owner of the program commemorated this transition by crossing out Bill Clement's name and adding Meehan and Lemieux in ink.
